A solar flare is a magnetic storm on the Sun which appears to be a very bright spot and a gaseous surface eruption such as in the above photograph. Solar flares release huge amounts of high-energy particles and gases that are tremendously hot. They are ejected thousands of miles from the surface of the Sun.

According to Mitch Battros – Earth Changes Media, “One of the best known prophecies/predictions of our Mayan elders is the message of a changing paradigm of our era. In the words of the Maya, it is said that we are now in a time of “change and conflict”. The change is coming from the ‘outside” in the way of weather, natural phenomena, celestial disturbance (sun flares) and manmade self-inflicted trauma. The conflict comes from the ‘inside’ in the way of personal challenge, grief, bewilderment, depression, anxiety, and fear. It is said we are “at the cross roads”. A time of choosing a new path, deciding on a new self and community direction, venturing into the unknown, finding our true identity of being. Others will choose to stay on the same road, stay with the familiar, and place great effort to maintain “predictability.”

There appears to be a direct connection between the Sun’s solar storms and human biological effect especially after an “M” class solar flare. The conduit which facilitates the charged particles from the Sun to human disturbance is the very same conduit which steers Earth’s weather through the Magnetic Field on Earth, and also through the magnetic fields around humans.

Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, tornadoes, and wind storms appear to happen after strong solar activity on the sun.

Geomagnetic Activity on the Sun Influences our Thoughts

I have noticed in my own research that solar activity is known to influence human consciousness. Solar flares affect the Central Nervous System (stomach lining), all brain activity (including equilibrium), along with human behaviour and all psycho-physiological (mental-emotional-physical) response. Solar flares can cause us to be nervous, anxiousness, worrisome, jittery, dizzy, shaky, irritable, lethargic, exhausted, have short term memory problems and heart palpitations, feel nauseous, queasy, and to have prolonged head pressure and headaches. Do you have any of the above lately? I am hearing from people in Canada, the U.S., South America, Japan, Greece, Malta, Belgium, Sweden, the UK, Australia etc. that all report the symptoms that I address after an episode of high solar flare activity. I have also experienced these symptoms myself as have many of my clients. Scientists don’t seem to be addressing this, but we all know it is real as we are experiencing it first hand.

The solar flares and photon waves are changing the fabric of our physical reality as they have a powerful effect on our physical cellular level, causing our cellular memories to awaken and clear. We often experience this as the body heating up in the form of “hot flashes.” Our lower emotions are low frequency energy stored in our cells from past experiences and traumas that we have encountered and never processed —so they become stored as cellular memories. Photon energy is a much higher frequency energy that pulls up the lower emotional frequency so it can calibrate to the higher frequency…. thus we find ourselves releasing these lower emotions of sadness and grief without knowing why. These spells will last for about twenty minutes and we are left wondering where these feelings came from out of the blue. The elements of our blueprint are interfaced in the cellular consciousness and when the blueprint is amplified through photon energies various elements of the blueprint leak into your consciousness and we begin to remember our soul’s purpose. We are pulled to make changes in our life but we don’t really realize why.

The interesting fact about this energy is that since it is of a higher frequency it creates the power of instant manifestation of our thoughts, which means whatever we think, we create instantly. This never before happened in our lifetime and that is why many people are writing books on the subject on the Power of Attraction.

Photonic energy connects to our thoughts so it is important that we know what we want, rather than we don’t want, otherwise, we will manifest more of what we don’t want. If you are in the process of change and transformation this energy works well for you. On the other hand, if you are stuck in the past through victimization and anger, you will simply manifest more reasons to remain stuck in victimization until you are ready to release it.

Note: The ancient texts, including the Bible, tell us to look to the skies as they would create the catalyst that would bring about change on Earth at this time.

The Affects of Recent Solar Flares

Many people are feeling agitated and un-easy recently. The solar flares can break apart old patterns of thought that are no longer needed so new ones can emerge. This can make us feel hyper and exhausted all at the same time. It can also wreak havoc with technology such as computers.

We began noticing many new symptoms. Time and space appear to on a wobble even more erratically than before. We seem to be loosing track of time easily. We lose words when we are speaking.The day simply disappears. We are not sleeping very well . . . again. There is lots of tossing and turning in the night and many are having unusual dreams. We are feeling huge power surges in the body followed by energy drops. There were many reports of nausea, and body aches and pains and dizziness. Many feel deep grief. Some feel like they were walking on water (ungrounded). Others said that when they closed their eyes at night, everything is spinning. There have been visual disturbances, inner ear issues, ringing in ears, throat and thyroid issues, cold feet and even a weird symptom of having tongue dryness. Are you experiencing any of this? This isn’t anything to be afraid of … just be aware of what it is and get extra rest and drink lots of water. This too shall pass.

POWERFUL SPIRIT HEALER / PSYCHIC SURGEON

Strong buoyant feelings of love and happiness hit me as if on a wave, as I enter the large hall of the Casa De Dom Inacio.(Johns healing centre and Spiritual Hospital in sunny central Brazil.)  I sit amidst hundreds and hundreds of people, from all over the globe and all walks of life, with all different beliefs, sitting in white or light colours humbly and expectantly waiting their turn to see the healing medium. I feel deep in my bones that I have FINALLY found the place where I will heal and also feel very much at home and welcome. Settling down on a chair to await my turn, I focus my attention on why I have come here , feeling all at once happy, excited, apprehensive, humbled and full of hope. The healing sanctuary sits peacefully nestled at the very end of the small and rural village of Abadiania, which is a one and a half taxi ride from Brazilia airport and sits on reportedly, the largest crystal plateau in the world. (John of God was guided to build his sanctuary here by the Spirit entities that work through him, as it is known that such a large mass of crystal, forms a powerful base for transformative healing energies and therefore speeds up and intensifies the deep healing processes that occur here.)

Since John was very young, he has been taken over by benevolent and elevated Spirit entities, as a very powerful and highly effective Channel in healing many, many people. He has dedicated over forty five years to this, often at great personal cost to help thousands upon thousands with many forms of serious diseases such as cancer and aids, many of which have been so called medical write- offs and hopeless cases.) Although there is nothing like a guarantee, there IS an incredibly and unexplainably high success rate of healings here. Many people travel thousands of miles to get here. John of God is perhaps one of (if not the) most powerful and well known healing channels on the planet today. Perhaps his background as a poor farmer has served him well in being able to withstand and sustain such a tough mission. My call to file past the healing entities has arrived! With excitement and curiosity mounting we pass into current rooms (Meditation, cleansing and prayer rooms.)

In the first room I am touched by a peaceful, palpable and benevolent presence. A hushed feeling of love and compassion tinged with light envelopes the rooms, it is quite unlike anything I have ever experienced before! Suddenly, tears of soft release stream down my cheeks effortlessly and unashamedly, my heart opens wide and unknown weights within lift!

I gaze at rows and rows of people sitting in quiet contemplation, prayer and meditative deep trance, all eyes closed and arms and legs uncrossed. I sense the powerful current they are helping to sustain , to help support all that is taking place in here. Deeply touched…. I move forward , glancing at pictures on the walls, of the spirit entities known to have been working through John of God for many years. These include King Solomon ,( an imposing and magnificent legendary figure,) Dom Inacio, Jose Valdivino, St. Francis of Assisi, Dr. Augusto and Chico Xavier. As I near the chair where John sits the energy grows in intensity and I catch him looking down the line and passed the others in front of me to gaze penetratingly into my eyes and soul with his large blue eyed fixed stare! ( It is known that he has released many spirit attachments and negative unwanted energies clinging to people with his gaze, sending them on to where they need to be , on towards the light.) I stop in my tracks he seems to know everything about me. I have never seen anything like it! His gaze then dropped to my right lower abdomen ( where I had had chronic problems for years he can reportedly see through the physical body and read the aura and blue prints of each of us.) On reaching him , he takes my hand reassuringly and scribbles a prescription for herbs, tells me to sit in the  current  rooms and have an operation in a few days .All is over quickly and the translator motions me to leave. I feel as if a shift in my life is about to occur and feel very moved.

The next few days I sit in the current rooms, eyes closed, arms and legs uncrossed, and tune in. With closed eyes I see and feel light pouring through me and out from the centre of my heart to all present and all beings everywhere. The more I give out , the more I receive, I am indeed being used as a beautiful and powerful healing channel to aid the work being done here, as well as receiving healing myself. Deeply en-tranced, I experience a lovely deep communion with benevolent and elevated spirit beings and feel so much closer to God and the deepest part of my inner self”.

I have had incredible experiences in these current rooms (as many others report also) I will never again doubt the presence of the astral / spirit world and it’s boundless benevolent light workers. I enjoy without measure being in these rooms!

The light beings work through and around John the medium and our prayers and good intentions also serve as an integral part of the work. There are six sessions a week. Days without sessions are for rest, digestion, reflection, practical considerations and meeting with friends. On leaving the current rooms I feel elated, energized and filled with a bouyant  well-being. Other times I feel I need more time to come out of trance and altered states, taking time out to be alone for a while. Some people simply feel rested in coming out of these rooms and even fall asleep during sessions, but the work is still going on with them.

Into the light of day we join the queue for free soup and a chat and enjoy the lovely sunshine how I enjoy sitting in those angelic realms!

On the day of my operation, we are all called into a small room where some mediums are sitting in trance and deep concentration. We are bade to sit and close our eyes, focus on what we need to heal and put our hands on our hearts. Sitting for some ten minutes or so, I feel lovely energies circulate inside and around me and as John of God walks past and with great power declared “In the name of God your all operated on” I feel a surge of pleasant sensations run through me, particularly in the areas I need to be healed. I hear a voice as clear as day, from some place deep inside say,  if you would not have come here, you would have had a heart attack! This, together with pulls and tugs in my heart area rings alarmingly true. It was all over in a few more minutes and we were all led outside into the bright sunlight and given some post op. advice; take much rest, not too much sun, eat lightly and stay within your own company as much as possible for some days, to treat this as a normal op. in a hospital and respect the process. No pork, chillies or alcohol when taking herbs. It has been known to happen that people go home and have an x.ray with their orthodox doctor and see evidence of stitches on the operated area that John has worked on, much to the dumbfoundedness of their doctor. I feel much better and have done ever since. In general, since being in Brazil I feel much better in all ways. Many incredible healings have been reported here.  Funnily enough it is sometimes the ones whom have the most doubt and lack of belief in any God or after life and spirit world, the cynical, whom have radical healing experiences as if Spirit wants to prove something! Others need more time to learn particular lessons presented by their disease. People come for mental, emotional and spiritual healing as well as physical. Operations can be visible (physical) or invisible. The choice is ours.

Though there is really no difference in results between the two, John often gives an operation or two on stage, perhaps to lift the veil of what is possible and what is not in our limited perceptions. Cuts and stitches are administered, tumours are removed, crutches are thrown away and there has never been a case of infection, even at the close inspection of doctors and professionals within scientific organisations, who come to try to prove it a farce. The work has only proven to be authentic if not illogical. There are profound emotional and spiritual shifts in people.

The village itself consists of a few shops, juice bars (selling amazing health packed juices from Amazon) There are twenty or so pousadas, (guest houses) in Abadiania and the village is surrounded by  endless open country all around. The Pousadas are clean, safe and simple with wonderful healthy veg / non veg buffet-style food. Meals are a main part of making friends here and are heartwarming and healing in themselves. Most of the pousada owners have been healed by John and are very friendly and understanding because of this.

The sanctuary’s waterfall is considered sacred, the water has healing properties and is very revitalizing. Visitors (including myself) love to go and cleanse there and healings have been known to happen there. Set in a magic secluded glade, it is great for quiet reflection and giving thanks for all received here. It is possible to get near with a taxi, for those having difficulties getting around.

It’s also relaxing to sit in the casa gardens or on the especially constructed meditation and prayer platform / pagoda to view the wonderful valley view below, and the far off mountains or the spectacular sunsets these local skies display. Crystal baths designed by the spirit entities are really pleasurable to take and can be found onsite.

The whole area is very supportive of the intense and incredible healings that take place here and anyone who visits has to acknowledge there is indeed a far greater Power than ourselves,  even though invisible and not always evident in our daily lives.There are places on this planet that are natural and powerful gateways to higher realms, that act as catalysts for transformation, cleansing and healing to take place . These places gather intense and powerful healing energies that provide healing that may otherwise be more difficult. I really do feel that this healing place the Casa de Dom Inacio is one of these gateways. The universal source of energy,or God or whatever you wish to call it is everywhere, but in such places intensified and magnified.

I walk up onto the hill that sees all over the area. A condor takes effortless flight and I gaze out onto forever over these vast open crystal landscapes to witness one of the famous sunsets here. Tears of Joy mixed with sadness roll easily down my cheeks, I know I will be leaving tomorrow. Transfixed. I look into the distance, into a city of light that sits majestically in clouds of pink with gold and silver linings so fragile and ethereal so beautiful with domes and spirals whispering of other lands in other dimensions and I realise, this is how I have experienced this place: as being in another dimension. I turn slowly away as the city leaves traces through this burning heart! Treading softly as if not to disturb the vision in the sky I walk slowly home to pack.

It felt the encouragement of light against its being, otherwise we all remain too frightened…”

No sooner had I reached my destination, I went down with the prevalent Summer gastric virus. Feeling better the next day, I went to the Conference, but as the day wore on it became apparent that I was going downhill. I did all the right things, seeing a doctor at the local cottage hospital, and retiring to my hotel. Two days later, on leaving my hotel for a breath of fresh air, I felt extremely unwell and collapsed in the street. The community ambulance had intended returning me to the cottage hospital, but soon discovered that my bodily systems were shutting down and took me to the district hospital at Swindon instead. I did not respond to treatment too well, and contracted pneumonia, becoming extremely ill. At this point my heart started to fail and there began a most extraordinary succession of Near Death Experiences.

I had been moved to the Heart ward, although I did not know why, as I had been monitored under the heart disease prevention programme at my GP and at Barnet Hospital, and been given a clean bill of health. Lying in my hospital bed, propped up and connected to various pieces of medical equipment, I resigned myself to a restless night. After a while I did manage to fall asleep, but immediately became aware that I was somewhere else. First, it had a dreamlike quality. I was in the company of a man who was showing me around what can best be described as a Hall of Learning. It was like a vast reference library, and I was able to choose whatever topics I liked. The guide then explained the topic, which was usually connected with religion or the paranormal. The guide then bade me farewell, telling me that I could return any time I wished. I then woke up again, but feeling more relaxed, soon returned to sleep. At once I found myself fully aware, completely out of my body. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before and I knew that I had passed into Spirit. The first thing I did was to march up to the Reception Desk. Here I met the first disappointment. I must at this point try to explain that in a purely mental world one communicates at a purely mental level, imagery being supplied like pictures are used to illustrate the text. This is a very difficult concept to understand when we are so accustomed to a physical world and have been indoctrinated with the belief that mind is a product of the brain. In fact the computer which was remotely monitoring my heart recorded that my heart had failed, and in these circumstances medical science states that there can be no brain activity and therefore no consciousness of anything. I am afraid that medical science is plain wrong! To resume the narrative, I was a little irritated not to be greeted by St Peter, but nevertheless asked “Do I get to see God?” I don’t know why I asked that question, as I had not prepared for my death, although I was fully aware of what had happened to me and where I was. The answer surprised me: “You are God”. I immediately realised the significance of the doctrine of the Brotherhood of Man. Realising that I was now in a position to find answers to the questions which had long eluded me in my study of parapsychology, I asked my guide how the various religions of the world fitted in with the scheme of things. He produced a long list and then proceeded to dismiss them all, one by one, as manmade. I was then plugged into the Information Stream from which knowledge of every conceivable topic could be readily obtained. Best likened to the telephone points which are installed in banks, from which information on any of the bank’s services can be obtained. I asked many questions and my guides congratulated me on how knowledgeable I was. Very few people bothered to gain such insight, they said. I soon realised that I had not really travelled very far along the path of knowledge during my earthly incarnation. It grieved me how much I had rejected due to my scientific scepticism, lack of a broader vision and lateral thinking. Those whose outlandish beliefs I had rejected out of hand were closer to the truth than I had been. Nevertheless it was apparent that those who study the paranormal have a head start on the rest of the pack, and get off to a flying start because they know what has happened to them at death. Precisely what I learned is too vast to enumerate, but I was gratified to be told that my conclusions regarding the origins and purposes of crop circles were correct and did not need any further elucidation! My request for confirmation that God did make the Universe was met with some amusement as I had already worked that out for myself, but finally I was told “He did”.

At this point I must interject that during my stay in hospital I drifted between the worlds and the chronology of a succession of NDEs is indeterminate, I would imagine because time does not exist in the next dimension. Further, the relationship between the experiences is not always easy to determine and some experiences appeared to contradict other experiences. Thus it is, and I can only assume that it must be very difficult to grasp the depth and scope of what awaits us on the other side. There were different aspects to the NDEs, and some seemed concurrent. During the time when the hospital computer recorded that my heart had failed I found myself on a conveyor belt in what resembled a hospital Accident and Emergency department. I was told that I had been recalled to HQ for a briefing, but I had a problem which would have to be attended to. I presumed this referred to the heart problem, but on this occasion I did not demur as I had done when hospital doctors made this diagnosis! I was told that all new arrivals were examined to see if anything could be done for them, but that hopeless cases were allowed to pass on. I had come from a hospital, as did many others. I have absolutely no recollection of any surgical procedures, and then underwent a lengthy experience, the nature of which I was sworn to secrecy. Scornfully, I was asked if I thought anyone would believe me, a point which was all too apparent. During this experience, various clues were given to me which “they” knew I would follow up. Although unravelling them occupied the next two years, I then realised just how significant the answers were in terms of world religions, the origins and history of the human race. The realisation of how things were and the implications for civilisation as we know it were mind shattering. I was then returned to the body by a means which was arguably the most significant experience of my whole life. Re-entering my body was like getting dressed in a set of cold, soaking wet clothes and was so unpleasant that I half wondered whether I was sensible to return. I was told the next morning that according to the computer monitor my heart had failed several times during the night, although no explanation was proffered as to why no action had been taken by the medical staff.

A few days after my first NDE, I went through a second, rather different NDE. After falling asleep, I again found myself in another dimension. This time I was shown the the Akashic Record as a massive card index system. My guide extracted the top card of my record, on which was depicted a photograph of myself and the inscription “Michael Lewis 1946 – 2006”. I was invited to review the contents of the card file, but declined to do so as I reckoned I was already well aware of the course of my life! I have often wondered whether this was the correct decision, as it has been suggested that this might have been the trigger for the repentance which must precede final judgement.

At this point it came home to me that I had really passed over. I was well aware of my surroundings and was now able to communicate with the angelic realm with crystal clarity, all was purity and truth. I have to say that I was in a blissful state, luxuriating in a higher energy vibration where I had access to knowledge on anything I wanted – and there weren’t half a few surprises! I remarked to the angels how much better my existence had become, although I realised how much of a shock my unexpected death at an early age would be to those left behind, especially to my wife and children who clearly had not appreciated the seriousness of my condition. I had been robbed of life with my mission only just started.

Regretfully I decided that I must return, and asked the angels if this was possible. They replied that there was something they could try, a response which I did not find entirely encouraging! I then asked them how this was physically possible, since I reckoned I had been dead for about a day and irreversible chemical changes would have occurred at cellular level. If time was turned back a day so that I could have a different outcome, then I assumed that everyone in the world would have to relive the same day just for me. It was explained that this would not be necessary, as only a very few people involved in my care would have to have their perceptions of reality altered. The angels showed me a conveyor belt, with markers representing days in our time. “You are aware that time does not exist in reality”, they told me. I did, but how this could be had always eluded me. To demonstrate the point, they picked an object off the conveyor belt and replaced it further back along the belt. “You will have to relive the day you died again”, they warned me, which I felt I could cope with. That day (the second time round, that is) I felt sleepy after lunch, but mindful of what had happened when I fell asleep the first time round, I felt it was wiser not to fall asleep. However, the angels told me that I would be fine now and it was a good idea to get some sleep.

The next day the Heart Consultant told me that he would undertake an Angioplast on my heart, as it was advisable to strengthen the heart muscle. He explained that both the major heart valves were failing and I got the impression I would soon die if this action was not taken. Since I was aware that the heart problem had been dealt with by beings from another dimension, I did not want any interference from earthly doctors who had already made two serious errors in my treatment, one of which had almost caused me to die, and the second of which had indeed precipitated my demise. I felt it wiser not to explain matters lest I be transferred to the psychiatric ward, so consulted my guides as to how on earth I could get out of this situation safely. We decided that I would have to leave the body, as the Consultant would not operate if he thought I was dead! And so it was that when the medical team approached my bed the next morning I made no response. Accompanied by my guide, I descended, metaphorically speaking, to the basement, clutching a treasured family heirloom  which I think was symbolic of the attachment we have towards earthly treasures. The guide opened the trap door in the floor, we left, closing the trap door behind us. This was, I think, symbolic imagery relating to the base chakra. I could then hear everything that was being said by the medical team. After failing to rouse me, a specialist team was summoned and proceeded to go through the procedure for declaring a patient dead. At the appropriate moment I returned to my body and groaned theatrically. Following many tests the Heart Consultant was allowed to see his patient and on plugging me into a computerised heart scanner he examined my heart. He then exclaimed to his assistant “I do not see today what I saw yesterday!” and then pronounced that both heart valves were functioning correctly. I could of course have enlightened him, but stuck to my policy of saying nothing! Thereafter a slow recovery ensued, during which a new doctor said she could not understand what I was doing in hospital!

A month after my discharge from hospital I was recalled for a review. Was my heart was now functioning correctly after such a serious double malfunction, and how this had been achieved I asked knowing full well how this had occurred! Equally puzzled, the doctor spent some time reviewing the test results which confirmed that I had indeed been very seriously ill. They assured me that all was now well with my heart, and could only suggest that the condition had been brought on by pneumonia and “had righted itself” when the pneumonia subsided. Again I maintained silence.

It had always occurred to me that “timelines” were a fanciful New Age concept. Several colleagues drew my attention to the film “Groundhog Day” in which the hero keeps reliving the same day. I had never heard of this prior to my NDEs. Anecdotally, I was informed by one guru that not everyone is on a variable timeline, which might explain why the angels were unsure whether it would be possible for me to return. I was also told that subsequently all timelines became fixed as we approached 2012, and changes such as I had been allowed were no longer possible.

My mother was telling me about a time when she and my father were renting and money was short.  One day my father said ‘I wish we could just win some money,’ to this she replied, ‘ok were going to win some today, lets go.’ My father thought she was joking and went along with her to a newsagent as she wanted to buy a scratch card.  They passed a newsagent and my father said ‘lets go into this one,’ she said ‘no,’ she was adamant to go to another.  They bought a scratch card and when they got home, she said to my father ‘do you remember what you said, that you wish you could win some money?’  She scratched the card and without even looking at it, showed it to my father, she said, ‘here it is.’  My father was speechless because there in front of him was the winning ticket; they had won two thousand pounds.

I’ve encountered many stories like this, where intuition has led people to their soul mate, the perfect job, helped them avoid an accident and in my mother’s case led to a windfall.

Intuition plays a large part in our lives and from my experience the more we trust it, the more it will work for us.  Intuition is having definite information about something, without knowing why, an absolute certainty which makes no sense in the context of the situation.

SOMETIMES YOU JUST KNOW

When I first heard my mother’s story it got me thinking about this whole concept of intuition.  There’s no doubt in my mind, that intuition must have played a part, in the actions of my mother that day.   I asked her ‘what was going through her mind at the time, was she feeling particularly confident, did she have a dream the night before?’  She said ‘it was neither of those things, she just knew instinctively where to go, as if her feet had taken over and were leading her in the right direction, she was just following through with a feeling, that she knew to be true.’

Another time, a colleague of mine was on holiday and was casually resting on front of the TV, when he saw a vision of his mother.   He felt something was wrong; he rang home to check and found that his mother was admitted to hospital for kidney failure.  His family were contemplating whether to ring him or not, as he was on holiday and they didn’t want to worry him.  But my colleague sensed something was wrong and felt compelled to act.

Intuition can assist us in our daily lives and help us make informed decisions.  The soul can communicate in various ways, sometimes through visions, inspired actions or most commonly, gut feelings.  We’ve all heard ourselves say things like ‘I have a bad feeling about this and something does not feel right,’  or we think about someone we haven’t seen in a long time, only to bump into them in the local supermarket the next day, this is our intuition at play.

The problem is many people dismiss intuition and believe that it is some kind of mystical force that is only given to a selected few.  We are all born with intuition and most of us are using it on a daily basis without even realising it.  It is true that some people are more in tuned with their intuition then others but that is because they’ve spent time developing their abilities.

TRUST

Many people don’t trust themselves and are forever consulting other people on what is the best decision to take.  Were looking for guidance outside ourselves but we already have a built in guidance system within ourselves and we just need to become more confident in using the information that is given to us.

A friend of mine got married last year and now is regretting that she ever did.  The man was smart, caring, and intelligent, they shared many good times together, she was fast approaching her 30’s and there was pressure to settle down.  She consulted family and friends and they all agreed he was the right person for her.  I asked her ‘how she felt about him?’ and she always said the same thing, ‘he’s a nice enough bloke but together they lack that special chemistry.’  She wanted to meet her soul mate; she said ‘she felt she would, at some point in her life.’   But her parents were telling her that she’s living on cloud nine and if she waited any longer, it would be too late.  She is now going through a divorce and recently met a man who she felt a deep connection with.  Had she listen to her own feelings, she could have saved herself the trouble, not to mention hurting another’s feelings.  It’s true that the only way we learn the important lessons of life, is by making mistakes, but if we listen to our intuition, we can avoid making those mistakes altogether.

WILL YOU READ THE SIGNS?

We can all learn to develop intuition through meditation and various spiritual practices like yoga.  When the mind is quiet and free from interference from the outside world, we then have a chance to listen to our soul.  It’s sometimes difficult to distinguish between the mind and the soul but through meditation we can become adept at receiving the answers our higher self is trying to deliver.  Intuition can come to us in many ways, through recurring dreams, synchronicity, signs from the universe, gut feelings.  In all cases the message is nearly always clear.  Our soul is forever trying to communicate with us; the question is will you listen?

Varying from tropical climates at the foot of the mountains, to an environment of clay and marsh, then to desolate, Snowy Mountain peaks, all areas of the Himalayas provide sustenance for a multitude of communities, the many shadows and changing landscapes of life are represented within their physical makeup.

In fact; many faiths right across the religious spectrum consider the Himalayan Mountains to be an epicentre of spirituality, and by visiting their glorious peaks, find spiritual guidance and divine inspiration.

The multimillion year old Himalayan Mountains are located right across five nations, spanning across India, Pakistan, China, Bhutan and Nepal; perhaps a reflection of their wide ranging influence on world religion and spirituality, with many pilgrimages taking place every year. There are several aspects of the Himalayan scope and the culture of the Himalayas which are considered some of the most spiritually enlightening in the world.

Mount Kailash rises predominant and strong amongst the Gangdise mountain range, Tibet, which is part of the Himalayas. It appears like a huge grey diamond, its concaves and chiseled face reminiscent of a precious stone, the snow which drips over the sides of the jewel shaped landmass allowing it to sparkle gently in the Himalayan sunshine. The landmass is decadently contrasted with the deep blue sky that frames it, making it striking to the eye.

In the Hindu faith, Shiva is the god responsible for destroying evil and sorrow, and it is here in the peak of Mount Kailash, that Shiva is said to reside with Parvati, his wife, who is daughter of the Himalayas. For many Hindus then, Mount Kailash is considered to be of great spiritual importance. In fact, in the Vishnu Purana, a Hindu religious text, Mount Kalilash is suggested to be a world pillar, or a center of the world, each of its sides made up of ruby, gold, crystal and lapis.

The mountain is universally known as an axis mundi, a spiritually sacred point in the world at which North, East, South and West meet, opening up a portal of communication between higher and lower realms. This means that communication between our realm and the higher realm is clear, and that communication from the higher realm can be easily passed on to all directions of the compass from this point, meaning meditation and prayer for all faiths at Mount Kailash is pure and sacred- which can only emphasis the abundance of pure, unadulterated spiritual guidance available at the Himalayan mountains.

In Buddhist faith, there is a mystical city hidden deep within the Himalayas called Shambhala, which has never been seen by any living person.  Some say Shambhala is not a physical entity which can be visited with human body, but can only be reached through mental realms- its existence is mentioned in several ancient Buddhist scriptures, but it remains geographically obscure.  Only those with sufficient good karma are said to be able to reach it within their mental state. Shambhala is said to be made up of a sacred civilization of people who are enlightened- it is considered a Pure Land in our physical realm. Shambhala is said to be ruled by Kalki Kings, who utilise the Kalachakra tantra- the spiritual tradition which represents time and encompasses time as a concept of many cycles. According to the Kalachakra prophecy, when the world becomes a pitfall of conflict and self-gratification to the point of no return, the 25^th Kalki King will appear from Shambhala, along with a Shambhala army, in order to combat the world’s wrong-doings and to bring to the world a Golden Age- a utopian period of harmony and stability. As we can see, the world at the moment is slipping further and further into what can only be described as depression. People all over the world are losing faith, but could this be winging us every closer towards the revelation of the Shamhala Kali King’s revolution? Only the Himalayas hold the truth.

Even for people who are not of a religious faith, the Himalayas are a humbling experience. To witness these great landmasses, so unmovable and irreversible, can only make us question our true powers as the human race, and our tiny place within the universe. The silence the mountains bring is impenetrable, a far cry from the man made sounds of the city. Indeed, for many people, when they visit the Himalayas, what they find is a physical embodiment of their spiritual faith- able to walk over the mountains and experience their solidarity, their beauty, and their fine detail. For any spiritual belief, the calming, atmospheric surroundings of the Himalayas empty the mind, and allow their thoughts to creep across their multitude of planes.

Looking up, those who have made the spiritual pilgrimage to experience this magical wonder, bare witness to the old, familiar sky, morphing before their very eyes into something seen only in fairytales. The sky becomes awash with serpentine ribbons of green, curtains of blue and glowing sheets of red, intertwining in an elegant wave of colour, shimmering like sunlight, delicately reflected in a dancing river of darkness.  The glowing streams of bright lights settle like mist over a meadow, halting for a moment, allowing their onlookers to take in the breathtaking abnormality of the event, before casually waltzing once more between the stars, still twinkling, visible amongst the entanglement of ghostly lights. Red shots of lightening shoot across the atmosphere and up beyond the sky, seeming to return home, back to the ethereal land they emerged from.  Then, without warning, the lights fade. Darkness pervades,  and the show is over until next time. Without a doubt, the Northern Lights are a feast for the eyes, for the mind, and for the spirit.

Although the experience of seeing the Northern Lights can equate, for some people, to a spiritual experience,  the Northern Lights, otherwise known as Aurora Borealis, (or Aurora Australis in their southern counterpart) can be explained by scientific principle. Scientists believe that the phenomenon is caused by charged particles from the sun, carried by a solar wind, entering into the Earth’s magnetic field. The particles then collide together, causing solar storms. In turn, the storms create what is known as auroras, which appear in our atmosphere, the night sky, as huge beams of light.

In this age of science and technology, scientists claim that they have many of the answers to questions that once burned unanswered in the hearts of people all over the world. We no longer live in a world where myths and historical tales rein true in our everyday understanding of the world around us. Rather, we depend on thoroughly thought out hypothesis and tried and tested methodology to bring us conclusive results, definite answers, which then shape how we each experience and perceive the world around us. Of course, with scientific breakthrough arrives the opportunity for us to take control of situations and manipulate what we are faced with. We only have to look around at all the modern science surrounding us each day to realise that we have became extremely dependent on the world of science and technology and its power to conquer circumstance. Without scientific conclusions, there would be no proven medical advancements, computers, cars, or indeed any logical basis for the majority of things we experience daily.

I can’t help feeling, though, that our advancements are breeding a kind of arrogance amongst humans, who were once mere cavemen, intuitively rubbing sticks together to make fires. We are continuously learning factually, in place of this intuition, taking new things on board with not a glimpse of doubt. Mankind craves the power to manipulate fate. Look at global warming as an example; all this time we have been coming up with fantastic solutions to our everyday dilemmas, making faster cars, cheaper flights, more factories, constantly generating more power to mankind, but at the same time, naively destroying our Earth, our only home.

We have forgotten how it feels to be human, beneath the ego of our advancements. We have neglected the simplicity of our existence. Amongst all the laws of legislation, rules for all manner of things which we have enforced upon each other, lies a power which has always been, and always will be transcendent in a way we can never be- the wild, unpredictable forces of nature.

If I stand in an open field, alone, my long hair allowed to rest upon my shoulders, it will begin to move in the breeze. If I decide that it is making me cold, cover my head and put on a hat and scarf, the wind will quiver the material. The wind exists as a separate entity to me. I cannot capture it in my hands, I cannot roll it up and hold it, I cannot manipulate my vision see it, and I cannot cower away from it, and that is what makes me feel human. I co-exist with nature, in beautiful simplicity.

The Northern Lights are a natural occurrence, incapable of being induced. We cannot predict when they appear, or how long they will last- we must wait for them.  They serve as a reminder that we can’t control everything with science and technology- there is more to life than what we have created. Like a mighty goddess in the sky above us, the Northern Lights force us humans to fall back into our places when we wait at her beck and call to witness her transcendent natural beauty, at her discretion. Experiences like seeing the Northern Lights are not always merely scientific- they allow us to feel human once more. We can connect with what it means to be at risk, to be vulnerable to the universe, to be spiritual, intuitive beings who cannot always pioneer their own fate with their own intelligence.
