AWAKENING
The man said, “There are no more Gurus anymore.”
“Gurus,” I replied. “Don’t you mean Heroes?”
He smiled slightly and shook his head. “No, Gurus.”
I just looked blank and bemused.
With the same slight smile he simply said,
“Just stop.
Breathe.
Listen.
Just be.”
Blankness gave way to confusion, to bewilderment and to fear
BUT
I stopped.
I breathed.
I Listened.
I was the moment.
The man said, “There are no more Gurus anymore.”
He was wrong.
I am the guru of myself and I am awakening.
We are the gurus of ourselves and we are awakening
