SYNCHRONICITY

SYNCHRONICITY
Synchronicity is no accident. When you’ve had something happen, something you’ve been wanting or you have been looking for, and then the answer has come as if out of the blue - something has caused this to occur.

The Power of Intention – A Personal Perspective

Synchronicity is no accident. When you’ve had something happen, something you’ve been wanting or you have been looking for, and then the answer has come as if out of the blue – something has caused this to occur. What has caused this? You have, just by turning your mind to that which you desire, need or require, if only for a split second, in a way that is focussed and clear. In so doing the energy you have expended has sent a little pulse, just like an electrical charge, out into the ether containing the message of your intention.

Universal Field of Energy

So what is this “ether”? Is it a spiritual realm of universal light? Is it some kind of universal data bank?  Or is it something else? What we do know from quantum science is that it exists in particles of sub-atomic matter.  Lynne McTaggart, in her book “The Field”, explores links and parallels between spiritual beliefs and quantum physics. She describes this ethereal space as a “sea of quantum energy”.  Interestingly Lynne’s work at the current time centres how the power of our own intent, expressed via thoughts and prayers, affects outcomes. Many of us are already familiar with this concept. It is powerful stuff, so let us take it from here.

Does it matter how we as individuals perceive this phenomenon, ether, or space? Personally I don’t think so. Every single individual exists within their unique and personal sense of reality thus is likely to hold or experience their own equally unique sensory perspective for this space. Whatever this may be, it is the individual perception that counts.

Steps on a Personal Journey

wp2812af2f_0fI first consciously started to become aware of the immeasurable potential of this vast sea of information through a spiritual rather than a scientific route. My intention was strong and my reasons clear. I wanted to become a psychic artist. I wanted to use that skill with my other skills as a healer / coach in order to help people, in some way, on their journeys. I wanted to develop this ability in my own unique way. I knew that my work would involve spirit guides, and I wanted to meet mine.  There was a powerful feeling in my heart and in the pit of my stomach.  It felt right. I had no idea how any of this would come about but it did, and in a relatively short space of time.

The focus placed on these outcomes intensified when I and four friends, each with our own spiritual objectives, united in our intention to learn. We would meet every 2 to 3 weeks. We called our little group a “development circle”. We wanted to meet our guides and we wanted them to teach us. And we were not disappointed.

The group developed its own procedures and process. Taken step by step, looking at the big picture, we did nothing that was new. In fact the process we employed is used daily and successfully on a universal scale – in schools and colleges, business, therapy, churches, sport and more.  What I will say is that we were successful. We did well. I believe it was the power of our intention and the way we followed it through that made it so.

We decided to limit rules to the barest minimum because we felt that this would give us the greatest potential in terms of creativity. There was a basic structure to our get-togethers and that was pretty much it. We did decide to act on whatever information we received from “upstairs” in complete trust and to keep it, for the time being, within the circle. We had made this easy for ourselves. We felt comfortable and safe among friends. There was nothing to lose and so very much, potentially, to gain. We remembered to show our appreciation to our guides, teachers, ourselves and each other. This tended to happen spontaneously, arising from feelings of joy and gratitude. However this happens, formally or otherwise, I believe it to be an important part of the process.

We five started by creating a safe and joyful space into which we invited our highest spirit guides and teachers. Into this space we brought laughter, fascination, friendship and a willingness to learn. We meditated to give this space and our intention energy. It felt fantastic.

Then we would wait and observe. Information would come (or not) to each person, either differently or in similar ways, through our sensory channels.

Within a short space of time I started to “see” visions containing figures, faces, objects, shapes and colours. I began to notice little impulses, for example to use a certain colour, or to make a shape on the paper. These I followed without question. Actually this is not strictly true; there were certainly times when I did question. What I found was that if I followed the impulse all became clear but when I didn’t, when I chose to follow something my brain said instead, a period of confusion would ensue. It was quicker, easier and far more comfortable to go with intuition – a useful lesson.

Often I did not understand what I was drawing because the images were incomplete or abstract. It was like watching a movie, wondering what would come next as the shapes became more complex. Eventually these shapes would merge, take on form and become complete pictures – of people, clothing, nature and objects. I became fascinated, not just in the outcome but in the very journey itself. In every picture there would be an amazing and unexpected twist at the end.

Gradually aspects of each picture would appear to present meaning and this would be revealed perhaps through colour, pen pressure, or the fleeting sense of an emotion. Features would seem to take on characteristics and point to personality traits, a determined chin for example or a softness of gaze. It was like being on a magical adventure and I was truly hooked.

After about a year I tentatively ventured to take this newly acquired skill outside the safety of the circle and made pictures of spirit guides for friends and family. In the telling of their stories, synchronicities between my “clients” inner experience and those of their guides would unfold. The personal family information revealed had been unknown to me so I’d made no connection with it. This happened too often for mere chance. I hardly dared believe it. I was realising my dream. But it doesn’t end there, the journey continues, ever more fascinating and ever growing, to this day.

Five Steps Forward

My own group used the process outlined above to connect and interact usefully with our spirit guides. You can use the same process for this very same purpose or for anything else.

1 – Set your intent – First set your intent for your desired outcome so it feels right inside. Use your brain as well as your intuition to make an ecology check. Why are you doing this? What will change? Does the intended outcome sit right with your sense of self? How will things be better? What is it like? You are aiming to feel relaxed, calm and at peace with your outcome, like the way you feel when you have a sense of inner knowing.

2 – Give your intention energy and power – Feelings and emotion give energy to your intention so make the emotion appropriate to the outcome. In NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) which is often called the “Science of Excellence”, this is called “creating a great state”.  There are many techniques you can employ to create and accentuate a way you want to feel. You can be on your own or with a group of similarly intentioned people. You can be inside or outside, physically moving or still – whatever works for you. Build the energy – use prayer, focussed thought, meditation, music, ritual, writings. The more you practice the easier it becomes and, given enough practice, you can create this state in a split second.

3 – Open your awareness – The next stage is awareness. Allow all your senses to be open to the possibilities that will present themselves – for indeed they will. There is no need to go looking because you have already created the conditions for the universe to play its creative part. Live your life and allow the process to unfold. Know that information and opportunities will open themselves to you through a myriad of channels – media and technology, relationships, learning and education. It may even just pop through your door. Listen to your inner voice. Know that you may receive information while you sleep and ideas will surface in your waking moments. Write them down, notice patterns.

4 – Take action – Start following your hunches. Read books you are drawn to; contact people as they come to mind; visit that seminar or place you have been thinking about; attend that party you’ve been invited to; pay heed to words that resonate with you. When opportunities arise, take the action they require, for this is what makes manifest the results you are putting out for. Use your existing skills – they are not there without reason. Learn new skills that interest you. Put procrastination behind you – a vision or dream without action is like a pie in the sky.

5 – Give thanks – A few simple words of thanks create a huge feel good factor and you can afford to be generous. Send your thanks and a smile to whatever you believe to be the X-factor(s) generating your opportunities. Give yourself deserved credit and feel good about it. Remember friends and family who have given you support when you most needed it.

The power of focussed intention can be harnessed in every aspect of life. Every thought, word and action is energy, giving power and direction to the universal field that is forming our destinies right now. Your power is in your hands. Make it happen.
